I really, really miss everyone.
I miss my daughter. She is on spring break this week and has been with her father/aunt since last Saturday and will stay there 'til Sunday.
I miss my brother and sis-in-law. They are a million miles away.
I miss my parents. Since I work every day, I can't make it back home to hang with them.
I miss my sister. Even though she's a bitch.
I miss my niece. I put up with my sister for my niece.
I miss my grandpa. I saw someone that reminded me of him and my heart was ripped from me. I went up and hugged that old man hard and I wished he was my grandpa.
I really, really miss everyone. This week, it's been hard.
My camera (Canon SD400) crapped out on my.
Actually. What I think happened is my daughter was taking pictures and she either pushed too many buttons or dunked it in a jar of peanut butter and licked it all off.
Either way. My camera is broken.
I've had it for a good 4 years or so. Through good times and bad. On many trips and at many celebrations. My point and shoot has seen and taken pictures of it all.
And it's broken.
SO! After a discussion with Floyd (who now has one), I decided that I'm (eventually) going to get a new Canon Elph.
The mother effing GOLD one (SD1100).
I WANT! I hella miss my camera.
As for Lorelai, I'm thinking of getting her a kids' camera for Christmas. So she won't eff with mine.
This pic is from the Half Moon Bay post.
And what was happening here was the following:
Lorelai: Mommy. Can I have a lemon for my water?
Goldie: Sure. Just don't make a mess.
(Lorelai squeezed lemon into water like the dainty lady that she is)
Goldie: Hey Loli. I dare you to eat that lemon. I'll give you a dollar.
Lorelai: No wayyyyy!
Goldie: I'll give you FIVE dollars.
Lorelai: No! I have enough dollars.
Aw SNAP! I didn't know my daughter was rolling like that. We'll see if she has enough dollars when her next tooth comes out and it's time for the Tooth Fairy to make her rounds.
Which reminds me. I totally requested $20 from the Tooth Fairy once. I wrote that broad a letter; showed it to my parents (who promptly busted up laughing - I didn't understand why!) and woke up to the usual couple of bucks. Which I am thankful for! But still.
I take an ecology class, and the "lab" portion of the class consists of field trips.
Went to a wedding this past weekend. My brother-from-a-different-mother married his girlfriend of a few years.
It was a beautiful event. Awesome food, awesome company, awesome venue.
And guess what?! Lilia of Lilia Photography photographed it. That's right, I met Lilia and her husband, Ray! You guys should totally be jealous. She took my Vox Meet virginity. She was so nice. We got to briefly chat in between her snapping photos and me chasing after Lorelai.
Did you guys know I'm obsessed with my daughter? Cus I totally am. More photos to come.
Lorelai and Nyia were flower girls. They kicked butt! Even though RIGHT as we were leaving my place to head to the wedding, Lorelai's zipper flew off of the dress in an irreperable manner. Things were fixed up right before walking down the aisle, though.
My neice is the funniest person alive.

Me: Lorelai, who is running for president?
Lorelai: Marack Mabama.

Dudes. I need to win the weightloss challenge. (Ladies Losing Weight) I'm, like, a pound away. Maybe I can't finish cus I'm afraid of success. Maybe I can't finish cus I'm lazy. I just don't know! All kidding aside, I'm about to do this. Cus I want to be the hottest I've ever been by the time I turn 25.

Did you know I don't like microwaving things cus I don't like the microwave concept. Well I don't. And now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
It's fundraising time at Lorelai's school.
I sent the following email at work:
"Hello All,
My sweet and awesome daughter, Lorelai, has a fundraiser going on at her school.
There are two booklets you can buy stuff from: Otis Spunkmeyer (cookies) and Sally Foster (snacks and wrapping paper).
I will be toting the booklets between here and my school, so if you’d like to order, you should be able to find the booklets in the breakroom. If they’re not there, I have them.
If you make an order, Lorelai will make you a picture as a thank you. And you’ll also get your goodies. And the feeling in your heart for helping raise money for public schools."
Yep. I laid it on pretty thick, but in the past hour or so, folks have already bought $150+ worth of stuff. Holla for a dolla.
One lady bought stuff, she said, only cus she wants a drawing from Lorelai. When I told her that Lorelai doesn't know, yet, that she's making drawings as thank yous, my co-worker still wanted it. Poor Lorelai. One of many things I'm gonna make her do that she may or may not want to. Ahhh parenting. Really though: if I have to peddle this crap stuff to folks, then she can make a drawing for them.
I sent an email to the fambam too:
"It's that time of year: fundraising time.
I have booklets of stuff for sale for Lorelai's school. There's wrapping paper and cookies and snacks and more wrapping paper.
Lemme know if you guys wanna order. Actually. You are obligated by BLOODLINE to order. So, lemme know what you wanna order. You have until 10/14.
Toodles,
Goldie"
My mom sent this response: "Absolutely. Can always use more school fundraising stuff."
olivia. and I both can't determine if she's being sarcastic or not.
olivia. and I had this exchange:
Her: Personally, I hate fundraising crap. UNLESS they have the tin with the cookies. You know which one I’m talking about.
Me: I’ll make sure to give Lorelai a copy of this email, you soul crusher. You suck.
Her: You aren’t answering the most important question – DO THEY HAVE THE TIN WITH THE COOKIES?!
She got her mind on her cookies and her cookies on her mind.
BTW: they don't have the tin cookies. But MOM: THEY HAVE PEPPERMINT BARK!
edit: ya'll are luck you don't know me in real life. Let's just say that if you didn't buy stuff from my daughter, things would be awkward. I'm not confirming or denying anything, but let's suffice to say that you'd catch a case if you didn't support tha cause. I'm juuuuuuust sayin'.
It's hecka Friday
Maybe I'll go to the movies and dinner with Lorelai.
I wanna see:
But it's not out yet.
I'd also go see this:
But neither 'Burn After Reading" or "Tropic Thunder" are kid movies.
I don't know what we'll watch... There aren't many kid movies out right now. Whack!
