Pull out your facts. The more obscure the better. Then ask her what she knows about that! Don't let her doubt the Goldie-knowledge. :-)
That's exactly what I say, "what 'cha mean, what you know about that". Usually leads to, "you're too young to know about that". Response is, I always know good music when I hear it.
I usually just say "I know LOTS of stuff."

Ha! I'll be like, "Well, I DO know that Donna Summer auctioned off a pair of fabulous gold, sparkly platform heels on eBay a few weeks ago."

Good one!

Yes! But I think I'll use 'hella' instead. And totally just leave it at that.

Thanks guys. Maybe, the next time someone asks, I'll just reference that TI song:

Whatchu know about that? Whatchu know about that? Whatchu know about that? Ay, I know alllll about thaaaat.

haha! I usually flip it and say "what YOU know about that." Its always easy to turn the situation back on someone else.
I usually bust out the knowledge if i got it, or say something that makes them feel hella old. like "oh yeah i used to jam to this in my high chair, mashin up carrots and stuff, good times"...
[this is good]
lol..i don't say anything b/c when I tend to say it someone, I'm not asking not asking a question. It's more like I'm saying you don't anything about it. Or yeah what Shelly said " What you know about that!"
[this is good]
This comment calls for reflection on the times that I have used the term, "whatCHU-know-about-that?!?!" with my mini me...lookin in my backseat to see my girl ROCKING IT OUT!!! to the ol school jamz that was before MY time even...

Like you stated- this phrase is used when there is a noticeable age difference...not so much that this was before ur time per say, but rather it poses the inconspicious question - what life experiences have you had which allows you, (young one) to invoke such energy
Im hekka mad...my comment was cut short lol
